Position Title:  Resident                                                    Campus: All 
Reports To: Central Leadership Institute Director         Status:  Part-time Volunteer (15 - 20 hours) 
 
Position Summary:  
 
Each CLI Resident is placed within a ministry area to gain hands-on ministry experience for a 2-semester term, September 4th, 2024 – May 19th, 2025. There is an optional summer term for Resident’s to complete that is based upon approval from your ministry supervisor and CLI Director. 
 
Possible Ministry areas are: Students, Kids, Production, Worship, Wholistic Impact, Marketing, and Campus Team. 
 
This position is connected to the faith and ministry of the church and moves forward the mission and vision of Central Christian Church.  
 
Responsibilities:  
 
  •  Be onsite Monday for CLI class time on the Mesa campus.  
  •  Follow agreed upon schedule with supervisors – this will vary depending on department/ministry needs. 
  • Attend monthly 1:1’s with ministry leads and mentors. 
  • Complete all tasks and duties assigned by your ministry lead. 
  • Complete all weekly reports, module reflections, book reviews (4), and CLI reflections, as assigned. 
  • Bring your best, be coachable, and be ready to dive in! 
  • Other duties as assigned.                                           
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: 
 
  • Basic skills utilizing laptops, Microsoft office products, and email. 
  • Possess solid time management skills. 
  • Experience in leading or supporting events, event planning, and project management. 
Competencies: 
 
  • Proficient communication skills. 
  • Inter-departmental collaboration and works well with others. 
  • Foundational understanding of your faith and how to communicate that with others.

  • Must align with the mission, vision, and values of Central Christian Church and be committed to doing Central no harm. 
  • Growing in your personal relationship with Christ, including participation in the Rooted discipleship program. 
  • Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the Church.

  • Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of Central Christian Church employees, defined by the Staff Handbook. 
  • Financially support the vision of Central Christian Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.  
  • Be an active Owner at Central Christian Church, making every effort to uphold the mission and core values of Central. 

Physical Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk sit; use hands to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
